Course Summary

Learn about grace from Gracie the Porcupine and her friends in this fun character-building class. We will also be making a porcupine!

Course Description

Gracie the Porcupine has much to teach us about the virtue of grace as she navigates her relationships with her friends in the Land of Virtues. "Gracie is a porcupine who pricks her way through life. She pricks at this and pricks at that⎯she's always causing strife. "Why did you do it that way?" Gracie asks, when her friends do something wrong. She makes them feel so terrible that they aren't her friends for long. One day when she was all prickled up, Gracie heard a soft voice from within..." Join us in class to hear the rest of the story! We will read the cute original story and briefly discuss how we can apply grace in our own lives. This is a great way for learners to practice listening comprehension. For the hands-on craft project, we will make collage porcupines. This craft will entail basic drawing, cutting, and gluing, which can help to strengthen fine motor skills. At the end of class, learners will have the opportunity to showcase their finished porcupines during Show-and-Tell. Stories and crafts are a fun and memorable way to build character. Don't miss the other character-building classes in the Epic Virtue Adventures series! Would you like to request that a certain virtue be included in the series? Simply send me a message!
