Saint Patrick is celebrated each year during the St. Patrick's Day holiday, but what do we really know about him? Students will learn details about the life and missionary work of Saint Patrick that will make celebrating St. Patrick's Day each year more meaningful. We will learn: • how prayer deepened Saint Patrick's relationship to God • details about his missionary efforts • the story of the Paschal fire • the meaning of the shamrock We will discuss ways to continue the work of spreading Christianity throughout the world. Project: We will explore the landscape of Ireland and make an Irish landscape art project. What will you include in your art project? A castle, a shamrock, a church, the Paschal fire, Saint Patrick praying? Join us for this creative and informative class!
