Learn how to make four types of puppets, and use the puppets to put on a puppet show.
In this four-week, project-based class, we will learn how to make the following four types of puppets: 1. Tube 2. Fastener 3. Felt 4. Spoon On the final day, students will have the opportunity to use all puppets to present a short puppet show for the rest of the class. Skills used in this class include: ✔︎ fine motor skills (cutting, pasting, coloring) ✔︎ creativity and imagination (puppet creation) ✔︎ communication skills (puppet show presentation) Class can last from 30-40 minutes, depending on how many students are enrolled. By the end of class, students' creativity and imagination will be soaring!

CLASS ONE • two toilet paper tubes, or one paper towel tube cut in half • scissors • glue sticks • scrap paper • markers • two craft sticks • miscellaneous items like googly eyes, yarn, buttons, etc. CLASS TWO • two sheets tagboard • scissors • glue stick • scrap paper • markers or crayons • 18 mini paper fasteners • 1/16" hole punch • 12" string or yarn CLASS THREE • 5-6 sheets of felt in a variety of colors • scissors • craft glue • hot glue gun (to be used with parental supervision near the end of class) • 4 medium to large googly eyes CLASS FOUR • two wooden spoons • craft glue • scrap paper • markers • scrap fabric • miscellaneous items like googly eyes, yarn, buttons, etc.
