Course Description

This class is an opportunity to slow down and enjoy the good things in life. While each child enjoys their "tea" and snack, we will together observe and enjoy kid-friendly classic and cultural poetry, art, artists, composers, and stories. For example, during the weekly Sweden and Norway theme, we will: ✶ enjoy the delightful artwork of Swedish painter Carl Larsson ✶ share the popular tale from Norway, Three Billy Goats Gruff ✶ recite poetry about Norway, such as Nikolina by Celia Thaxter, etc. Children will have the opportunity to get their wiggles out throughout class by moving their bodies to the music, sharing something that brings them joy, and answering class-related questions. At the end of class, each child will have the opportunity to share the poetry, art, music, or story they most enjoyed. This class is designed to foster appreciation, peace, and joy. For those familiar with WEH: This class uses WEH resources from the WEH rotation found at www.librariesofhope.com. Classes are held on an ongoing basis. You may register for the weeks and themes that most interest your child.
