Learn about place value of whole numbers and decimals and how it our numbers system is affected by powers of 10.

Course Description

In this course, the student will work with numbers and their place value with a very holistic approach. Rather than isolated concepts, the student will see how the concepts are interconnected. This course is a great foundation for performing and understanding calculations for all operations. We will work with numbers from the hundred thousands to the thousandths and their place value, rewriting them in different forms, and multiplying and dividing by powers of 10. #1 in Mrs. Becker's Intermediate Math Series (Followed by "Long Multiplication") Mrs. Becker's Intermediate Math Series is designed for math students in approximately 5th through 6th grade. Each class consists of a lesson including visuals and problems to work through together and independently.
