This 12-week piano course is a fun, hands-on program that helps your child get a strong start at the piano. We use the engaging Supersonics Plus Piano curriculum to build a solid musical foundation through playing songs, listening activities, and creative exercises. Rather than focusing on high-pressure testing, we use a simple “growth map” so students can see what skills they’re learning and celebrate their progress as they move to the next level. The class welcomes a range of ages, and lessons are adjusted to fit each child: Ages 6–9: Lessons include short activities, rhythm games, and movement to keep young learners focused and having fun. Ages 10–18: Students spend more time building good practice habits, improving music reading, and understanding how music works.
Our 12-week journey takes students from their very first notes to performing three polished pieces. Note: If you would like a more technical, detailed list of the specific benchmarks and music theory covered in this course, please feel free to message me. The course is divided into four learning stages. Each stage builds new skills while students continue improving their songs. Weeks 1–3: Getting Started Students learn posture, hand position, note names, and begin their first songs. Weeks 4–6: Building Skills Students learn simple scales and chords while improving rhythm and music reading. Weeks 7–9: Growing Confidence Students play more smoothly, strengthen their skills, and continue improving their songs. Weeks 10–12: Performance Preparation Students polish their songs, practice all their skills together, and finish with a final performance.
