Become an architect for a day by designing your own dream home.

Course Description

Using architectural home design symbols, which we'll learn in class, students have the option to design their dream home on graph paper. However, other house design materials may be used instead of graph paper, including legos, cardboard, clay, etc. Class will include: • architectural symbol instruction (doors, windows, etc.) • brainstorming ideas 💡 • sketching a rough draft • creating a final home design This is a fun career exploration activity for potential architects. Students who use graph paper for their design will gain experience with measurement and drawing to scale. ★ Students may showcase their final home design at the end of class.
