Course Description

Ready to get creative and design your dream house? Using architectural home design symbols, which we'll learn in class, students have the option to design their dream home on graph paper. However, other house design materials may be used instead of graph paper, including Legos, cardboard, clay, colored pencils, etc. Class will include: • architectural symbol instruction (doors, windows, etc.) • brainstorming ideas 💡 • creating home design BONUS: This class can be used as a fun career exploration activity for potential architects. Students who use graph paper for their design will gain experience with measurement and drawing to scale. ★ Students may showcase their final home design at the end of class.
