Course Description

This class is an opportunity to slow down and enjoy the good things in life. While each learner enjoys their "tea" and snack, we will together observe, briefly discuss, and enjoy family-friendly classic and cultural poetry, art, artists, music, composers, and stories. For example, during the weekly Sweden and Norway theme, we will: ✶ enjoy the delightful artwork of Swedish painter Carl Larsson ✶ share the popular tale from Norway, Three Billy Goats Gruff ✶ recite poetry about Norway, such as Nikolina by Celia Thaxter, etc. At the end of class, each learner will have the opportunity to share the poetry, art, music, or story they most enjoyed. This class is designed to foster appreciation, peace, and joy. This class uses WEH resources, following the Well Educated Heart monthly rotation. ✨NOTE: A Junior Tea Party class is also available for ages 5-8. Classes are held on an ongoing basis. You may register for the weeks and themes that most interest your learner.
