Celebrate the season of summer with a sweet ice cream collage art project. This class is also a feast for the senses, with delightful summer-themed art, music, and poetry.

Course Description

Join us for a class of summertime fun! We will make a colorful collage ice cream art project, which will entail cutting, pasting, drawing, and creativity. We will immerse ourselves in fine art appreciation with selections of delightful summer-themed fine art, music, and poetry. For instance, we will enjoy listening to Vivaldi's Four Seasons: Summer as we work on our art project. Show-and-Tell at the end of class will provide an opportunity for learners to showcase their completed art project. This class is full of character-building, fun, and creativity!

Supplies

❏ Two sheets of 11 x 14- inch or 12 x 18-inch thick white cardstock or construction paper 🌈 Scrapbook paper in a variety of ice cream-appropriate colors and textures (four sheets at least 6 x 6-inch in size) 🟠 One 6 x 6-inch piece of paper for the cone (brown, yellow, etc.) ✂️ Scissors 🔴 Gluestick 🖍️ Crayons, colored pencils, or markers
