Course Summary

Neurodivergent friendly! Welcome to Brain & Heart HQ: Detective Missions—an open-series class where students investigate how their brains work, decode emotional signals, and test real-life strategies to help with focus, big feelings, and planning. Every class is a complete case. Students can join any week, solve the day’s mystery, and leave with: a brain fact a faith-based reset moment and one practical tool they can use immediately No previous missions required!

Course Description

Each week students receive a new case from Mission Control. Detectives will: 🔍 Investigate what’s happening in the brain 🧪 Test strategies through hands-on activities ❤️ Learn how emotions act as helpful signals 🙏 Pause for a short scripture-based prayer 🧰 Leave with one clear tool they can use at home Because this is an open series, every class stands alone. Core ideas are reintroduced each session so new detectives never feel behind. This class is designed to feel like an adventure! Students are never required to share personal stories. The focus is on skills, strategies, and confidence! Syllabus

Every class includes: Mission Briefing A short story or scenario introduces the case and the skill focus. Brain Investigation Students learn what’s happening in the brain in a clear, age-appropriate way. Field Test A hands-on activity, movement break, or strategy test to apply the concept. Heart Signals Check Students learn to name emotions as signals. Sharing is always optional. Mission Control Check-In A short scripture, simple prayer, and moment to pause and reset. Tool Issued Each detective leaves with one practical tool they can use immediately at home. ✔️ Every class ends with a mission completed and a usable strategy unlocked.
