Course Description

Bookmaking ignites the imagination of children, young and old. In this class, we will make four different styles of books: • Flip • Section • Portfolio • Pocket We'll exercise our creativity while making a Fish Flip book, Funny Face Section book, Tree Portfolio book, and Seasons Pocket book. In addition to sparking imagination and creativity, bookmaking can help to improve fine motor skills. ★ Each class will end with Show and Tell.

WEEK ONE eight pieces of 3"x4" white paper one piece of 3"x5" colored construction paper stapler crayons or colored pencils WEEK TWO three pieces of 6"x12" white paper one piece of 8"x12" colored construction paper ruler pencil scissors stapler crayons or colored pencils WEEK THREE one piece 9"x12" construction paper three pieces 4"x9" white paper 3/4" strip of construction paper or washi tape glue stick ruler scissors stapler hole punch 2 brad fasteners 4" piece of yarn or string crayons or colored pencils WEEK FOUR one piece of 9"x18" paper (glue two separate pieces together, if needed) four 4"x6" index cards or pieces of cardstock glue stick crayons or colored pencils
