Learn to tell stories through American Sign Language!
Do you have kids who love storytelling? What if they could tell stories in another language. What if that language included using your hands? In this class, young storytellers will learn to tell stories in American Sign Language. They will learn the fundamentals of ASL communication, storytelling, and even ASL grammar, while picking up new vocabulary signs along the way. Learning to sign stories is a wonderful first step to building fluency in the language, so have your young one bring their expressive personalities and get ready to tell sign class stories!
Over the course of our time together, students will have the opportunity to learn to sign the following stories: Class 1 - Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See Class 2 - The Very Hungry Caterpillar Class 3 - I'm Going on a Bear Hunt Class 4 - Five Little Ducks Class 5 - Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed Class 6 - There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Fly Class 7 - The Hare and the Tortoise Class 8 - The Lion and The Mouse
