Course Description

Our thoughts matter, as taught by the Bible: "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7). James Allen's classic book, As A Man Thinketh, is full of wisdom that becomes even more powerful when combined with a Christian worldview. Students will read the book at home and come to class prepared to participate in a discussion. Book Chapters include: • Thought and Character • Effect of Thought on Circumstances • Effect of Thought on Health and the Body • Thought and Purpose • The Thought-Factor in Achievement • Visions and Ideals • Serenity We will discuss how to direct our thoughts for the benefit of building the kingdom of God.
