American History Fun: Explorers of North America

Course Summary

Learn about ten explorers of North America, and create and share a short presentation on your favorite explorer.

Course Description

We're diving into the lives and contributions of explorer of North America! The first class in this twelve-week course will include an introduction to explorers of North America. Classes 2-11 will include: • a fascinating visual presentation about life the lives and contributions of eleven explorers • discussion time where students can share what they know about each explorer • hands-on projects that include a lot of coloring, cutting, pasting, and basic writing During class twelve, students will have the opportunity to showcase their explorer presentations. The explorer presentations will require time beforehand to research a favorite explore and put together an entertaining 3-5 minute presentation.
